The latest screenplay from Director Bessy Adut, Searching for God in Antarctica will be her first feature film. Currently in active development, this documentary film will be an all-encompassing look at the connection of humanity. In this journey, two young environmental activists will set out on a journey to find, and ask, questions about God, spirituality and science.
Antarctica will provide the breathtaking backdrop for this soul-searching journey and exploration of the intersection of Spirituality and Science.
Search for God in Antarctica aims to combine the awe-inducing aesthetic of Werner Herzog’s Encounters at the End of The World with the thought-provoking ideas explored in Morgan Freeman’s The Story of God.
I have hope for the future. I believe when people educate themselves on different views other than their own, we can learn to be more tolerant towards one another.
No matter what God we believe in, or even if some of us don’t believe at all, the reality is we’re all going to need to work together to save the world. The only way that’s going to happen is with increased awareness and direct action.
I believe our film is going to wake viewers up from all ages and creeds to the dangers that the human race is facing right now, the correlation of these issues to our past mistakes and the lives those mistakes cost, so that we can all work together to create a brighter tomorrow.
